There are only two types of songs: Short and shorter
And only two speeds at which they should go: Fast and faster

Intoxica are a rock band. We indulge in surf, dark blues, twisted country and rockabilly; mix this with strong vocal melodies and end up with something that fundamentally ROCKS!

Likes: The band has been influenced by The Gun Club, AC/DC, The Breeders, The Chameleons, The Cult, Motorhead, The Jesus Lizard, surf guitar music and garage rock/metal generally. You will hear songs about escaping small towns, global paranoia, girls, thrills and things like that. Music that gets your hip shaking. Music with shades on.

Dislikes: Bands full of nice boys playing nice music in a nice way - for nice people. Records that have had their roots killed by over-zealous production.

Last autumn, the band released the Razorwire EP on their Bliss Mutator label (BLIM0001), which is currently available from the shop link. It was produced by The Animal Farm at Atomic Studios in London. The EP contains five infectious songs from the saturnine power-pop of the title track to the paranoid twang of 'Mexican Standoff'; from the rockabilly driven 'Gina' to the surf guitar wig-out of '23Hz', the EP is a great introduction to the band.

Our debut album will be out this summer, release date TBC. We are currently hawking around the finished songs, along with the EP, to get help with the album's promotion and release. We play gigs in London roughly once a month and play elsewhere whenever we can.
